Labor day

Labor day always makes me stop for a moment and think of days long since gone by. I think of the stories I've read and the films I've seen about America's workforce. Stories of people's struggles when there was no way to make sure that workers were properly taken care of. No plan in place to make sure you were actually paid what your work was worth. No one to make sure your children as young as 4 and 5 were not sent into labor camps and mines to help your family survive. Every time I think how far America may have fallen, I remember those souls of old and all of the extreme hardships they endured. I think of them and I remember how blessed we are! Happy Labor Day!!!
