Fall is here.....almost
I adore fall! It's when it gets cooler, the leaves begin to change and America becomes pumpkin land. It's the beginning of my happy journey to Christmas, my most favorite time of year! We kicked off fall right here in Okietown with temps in the 60's and even a couple 49 degree days but then we arrived at today.....apparently Summer didn't get the memo that it's over and it was hot today *tears*. But I have no doubt the cooler temps will return soon (preferably before I go to the Pumpkin patch lol).
I've been reflecting a lot lately on what I say and equally important how I say it. Our words are so much more powerful than we realize and they can build up and beautify or they can cut to the core and destroy! Your life path will always follow what comes out of your mouth. So I've been reminding myself to say positive things, to be like Pollyanna again (I forgot her somewhere in the craziness of the last few months) and it was time to bring her back. I noticed almost immediately that I began to change. That even though the things going on around me were no less crazy (in fact some got worse for a while), but I was still happy and at peace. It's all in how you are looking at things. I'm excited for all the amazing things ahead.
I've had to take a break to get my health and my life back after being sick for so long, but I am so thankful for the faithfulness, goodness and healing of God. I could not breathe in this life without Him. It breaks my heart that so many "Christians" have caused God to look like a Judge with a gavel ready to come down and destroy you. Because that's just not who He is.
If the people would actually read the amazing story of redemption in the bible they would find it says "it's the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. Judge not least you be judged, God is love, to know Jesus is to know God". Jesus was kind and compassionate, he forgave, he loved, he fed people and he healed anyone who came to Him. He said "let him who is without sin cast the first stone" to the people getting ready to stone a woman guilty of adultery and they dropped their stones and walked away. He choose to hang out with and to love the messed up, the unlovable, the rejects, the tainted, the ones no church or temple wanted in their doors. So if to Know Jesus is to know God then He is a loving, merciful God full of grace to anyone who wants to know Him.
I'm not asking you to believe what I say, I'm only asking you to allow me to speak what is my heart. I hope you all find the best kind of love. That you find a way to make a difference... whatever way you can and that you learn what it means to truly be happy by choice in spite of what is going on around you.
Happy Fall!!!!
Be honest, Be real, Be you
