I’ve had the privledge of seeing multiple live stage productions of this in my life. I enjoyed each one of them. But this is my first time seeing this version of it. And it’s my first time seeing it as an adult. It’s made me realize a few things. #1) it hits vastly different as an adult. I never realize just how hard it hits. #2) I’m quite surprised how young I was when I saw this play each time because It Is very heavy. #3) sadly humans haven’t learned much. We still don’t live in or appreciate the moments for the most part. We still try to control others lives to protect our own and we still miss how vitally importat little moments and actions turn out to be. And life goes so very fast. So today a sobering reminder from an old friend (which is what plays feel like for me) to live in and appreciate each moment, each person and each hardship, little moment and win for as long as I possibly can.
