See you next year April....

I cannot believe we were are already at the end of April. Which means we are also heading out of Spring and rolling towards summer. Which also means we will be seven months from Christmas and only four months from the Ber-months of SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, DecemBER -(sorry I had to).

Although fall and Christmas are as always my most favorite times of the year. I have been doing better at being present and finding ways to appreciate and enjoy the rest of the seasons. Summer is always the hardest for me, even though I loved it as a child. It is always so hot here and it’s rough on me in terms of auto immune stuff. But I do still find ways of enjoying it. For example watermelon and summer squash are very much worth going through summer for lol. As well as Anne Of Green Gables marathons, Sweet tea, and Green grass and trees.

I do often miss the days of swimming in the lake without worrying what was in it, sprinklers and slip n slides (not sure now that I think about it how any of our bodies survived that thing) and when for some reason I was oblivious to flies, wasps and hornets which I now see everywhere during the summer. Oh and when I didn’t give a second thought to snakes which I’m now very aware of especially given that I almost stepped on one right outside the door last summer. And of course ticks (please always check yourself, your kids and your pets for ticks).

I’m thinking a lot of Summer because even though it is still spring at the time of writing this, the temperatures outside have been in the 90’s blah. So it has very much felt like the beginning of summer. I hope to stay well enough this spring and summer to actually get out of the house and get some pictures taken and explore for much needed writing inspiration.

We should all go buy a kite and find a day to fly it.
